The bleed area is the portion of your design that extends past the trim line. This area will be cut off when the paper is trimmed to the final product size. The sole purpose of including this area is to make sure your design or image reaches the very edge without leaving any unsightly white edges. Add a total of 0.25" to your original size for proper bleed (0.125" to each side of your artwork).
